FRP Profiles

When traditional building materials such as wood, steel, and aluminium fail to solve your design problems, the only practical alternative is composite (FRP) structural shapes & profiles. The most commonly used materials for structural applications are steel, aluminium and wood. However, FRP is fast replacing these materials for many applications, due to features like low specific weight, durability and corrosion resistance. Such factors will result in significant overall savings as it enables more cost efficient configurations to be developed and transport and assembly costs can be reduced. And of course, the materials are maintenance free.

  • Reduced weight because of low specific gravity (1,85 g/cm³)
  • High strength
  • Good electrical and thermal insulation
  • Flame retardant or self-extinguishing
  • Resistant to chemicals and corrosion
  • Good surface for paint or even dyed
  • Great deal of construction flexibility
  • Cost-effective
